“Taivaantappi” in the upper category in the Oulu Museum and Science Centre’s open architecture competition

The proposal “Taivantappi” by Talli and Mer Architects was placed in the upper category in the Oulu Museum and Science Centre’s open architecture competition.

The aim of the competition is to design a building, which is of high architectural quality, attractive and complying with the requirements of modern activities, for the Museum and Science Centre “Luuppi”. The building also raises the value and amenity of its location. In the exhibition record, attention has been drawn to the strong identity and presence of our proposal in the urban space, the effortless placing on the plot, the balanced composition of the buildings and the high-quality presentation of the proposal.

Thank you for the rewarding cooperation Mer Architects and landscape architect Sarianna Salminen, and congratulations to the winners Opus Architects and Simon Mahringer!
